The KNT Group Company participated in the VIII Russian National Zeolite Conference

The KNT Group Company served as a sponsor of the VIII Russian National Zeolite Conference held on June 18-20, 2018 in Ufa.

The Conference was dedicated to the memory of Sergey Zhdanov, Doctor of Chemistry, Professor, Honoured Master of Science and Engineering, whose principal focus area was zeolite research.

Representatives of KNT Group Company headed by Alexander Bodriy, Director of ISCPC LLC, had the most valuable contribution in the Conference. Gulnaz Garieva, Head of R&D Centre, made a conference report on “The KNT Group developments in production of hydrocracking catalyst additives”. The effects of various zeolite-based additives may be directed at increasing olefin output during cracking process, increasing fuel octane rating, СО-to-CO2 afterburning, reducing sulphur compound content in cracking products, as well as SOx and NOx emission with flue gases from regenerator chamber.

The highest quality of the KNT Group products was also noted in other conference reports. In particular, Irina Ivanova, Director of the National Zeolite Association, Doctor of Chemistry, in her report quoted several comparisons of Russian produced FAU and MFI (ZSM-5) zeolites with top analogues from all over the world. Based on the research findings it is specified that MFI (ZSM-5) zeolites produced by the Russian companies are comparable with other international analogues as relates to fundamental quality indicators, while FAU zeolites produced by KNT Group are in fact in better quality compared to international analogues as relates to certain indicators.

During the commemorative gathering dedicated to Salambek Khadzhiev who passed away in March, 2018, Alexander Bodriy, Director of ISCPC LLC, proposed to name the Ishimbay Specialized Chemical Plant of Catalysts after Salambek Khadzhiev. The proposal drew praise amidst scholars, the associates of Dr. Khadzhiev, so this issue was considered for approval by the parties concerned.
